Skee Ball may not be the highlight of your local arcade, but it has it's merits

I love video games and pinball, but no arcade is complete without Skee Ball and air hockey
Skee Ball Conceived in the early 1900s, Skee Ball is a bowling-like game that became one of the first redemption games. While not the center-piece of any arcade, most of the good ones have a few of these. I'm sure I'm not the only one who digs this game! :)

My son and I always fire up a side-by-side Skee Ball challenge at our local arcade. Long ago I played Space Invaders at my local bowling alley. Could this have translated into a Skee Ball craving? It could explain my interest in the Arcade Bowling Game I found at a local theater a few years ago.

For me, my Skee Ball passion is right up there with Air Hockey. Like the need to flip balls into that tiny 1,000 point hoop, I also can't pass up a game of air hockey. Ice makes a nice 3-lane Skee Ball game and one of our local arcades has it. They also make Super Chexx bubble hockey.

I really love arcades. The experience is just as much fun as the variety of games. I find a great connection to my love of various games and the way I encountered them in the arcades I frequented growing up.
