For one day only, McDonald's is bringing back their Szechuan Sauce, from 1998, at select locations! Get Obsauced!
If you haven't watched Rick ANd Morty on Adult Swim, go now and watch it. It's that good! Breaking viewing records like crazy, the third season opener was broadcast and streamed, with much disbelief, on April Fool's Day. 11 million viewers watched/streamed that premier. Part of the story line revolved around McDonald's Szechuan Sauce - believe it or not.

Szechuan Sauce posters at McDonalds You may not remember McDonald's Szechuan Sauce - it was part of a movie tie-in with the Disney film Mulan, in 1998. The sauce was briefly included in kids' McNuggets Happy Meals and that was that. It ended.

"I'm driven by finding that McNugget sauce."
Leave it to Rick And Morty to stir up the internet and get this discarded sauce back on the radar. McDonalds heard the cries and agreed to bring back the Szechuan Sauce for a limited time, one day only, at limited locations. Get ready for October 7th!

McDonalds is only bringing their delicious Szechuan Sauce back for one day, but they're doing it right. The Sauce will be very limited, but some locations will also have promo posters for the day. Go to Buttermilk Crispy Tenders for details about participating McDonalds restaurants.

Head to McDonalds for their new chicken item and see if you can snag a limited edition "Sauce Poster" shown on the site. Read the fine print for any changes, these offers are time specific. Best of luck and we hope your local McDonalds is offering Szechuan Sauce!

October 7 update:
So, the event was woefully inadequate. McDonald's had very few posters at most locations. Only 10 at my local restaurant, that ran out in minutes.
