Death Race is based on the arcade game and is a lot of fun on the Atari 2600!
When you hear "there's no such thing as a free lunch," don't forget a cool Atari ROM is much better than a meal. Programmer, Michael Salzman has posted his Atari 2600 homebrew game ROM, for Death Race, on his Patreon page. You can access the page and download the ROM for free without any logins.

Of course he'd like you to sign up for his Patreon and help spread the word. And you probably will because this is a really cool game that you'll probably enjoy as much as I have.

Posted as a bin file, you can run it in Stella or on real hardware with a Harmony cart. It's based on the arcade game (check out the Death Race flyer) with easy controls and plays nice and fast for one or two (co-op) players. It even has a demo mode.

Rack up points by running over people who turn into blocks (tombstones in an 8-bit world) which begin to impede your ability to drive. Give it a look and download a copy to see what a cool game it is. It's developers and programmers like this that make the Atari community so diverse and expanding. Support indie devs!
