The global pandemic of the Coronavirus is impacting everything from E3 and SXSW to Coachella and pro sports

Coronavirus worries have cancelled E3
This virus is still quite new and unknown in several respects, but many large gatherings from sports and music to business conferences have been cancelled or postponed.
the official announcement was made today about the cancellation of 2020's E3 conference in Los Angeles. As large music festivals and Sporting events are being shut down, E3 followed suit. No E3 in 2020.

Coronavirus worries have cancelled E3 It's been established that the coronovirus can be transmitted person-to-person in close proximity, but it's hard to say if shutting down large events helps or hypes the panic. There are a lot of factors and we're still finding out more about this pandemic.

Several vendors had already backed out or previously decided not to attend for various reasons before the outbreak. It remains to be seen if this helps curb the spread.

This virus seems eager to spread through the population and as more people contract the coronavirus, it will still spread fast regardless of shuttered events.

I hope this won't be the end of E3. Over the years, it's relevance is questioned as major developers bow out. I like having a yearly event to mark all the coming technologies, games, and more. I've never attended, but I love the concept. It would be a shame if this caused enough financial damage to shutter E3 forever. The same could be said for other large festivals like SXSW. Can such large events simply cancel and simply rebound the following year> Time will tell.

The only guarantee is Trump will lie about the pandemic's seriousness, in the hope we missed the savage stock market crash. He still says the economy is great. Trump cares about one person only - himself. He won't care about the coronavirus until he becomes infected.
