In the mid 1970s a classmate brought in a Mattel Electronics Football game and we all crowded around him trying to get a glimpse. As the day wore on, we all got a chance to play it. As a kid this was a huge experience for me. It was my first experience with a video game and this one was portable! I could take this game anywhere!

Christmas 2014, I found these similar handhelds, created by Basic Fun, at Toys R Us They are officially licensed from Mattel. I wasn't able to find either of these games on the Basic Fun website, so I'm not sure how these replica handhelds came to market, but I'm glad I had the opportunity to buy them. Seeing these Football Baseball, and Basketball games again brought back a lot of childhood memories.
