Check out this Atari 2600 homebrew game, Defend Your Castle
Wind up your catapult and launch a boulder at your opponent's castle across the river.
In a world full of games that can easily overwhelm the average gamer, it's nice to see a cool Atari 2600 game that adds elegance to simplistic game play. Defend Your Castle comes as a DIY ROM on a PCB or you can simply download the file - available in NTSC and PAL with some slick cross-color options. Check out their site!
All you need to do is destroy your opponent's castle before they decimate yours. This game seems to have a lot of cool options. Although the game play is easy to pick up, there's quite a lot to it. Good stuff!
Check it out and order up a PCB. Be prepared to put the board into your own empty cart shell - it's not sold as a complete cart. You can print out the manual, box and cartridge stickers - downloadable from the site. It's nice to see originality still thrives in the homebrew community.
