Reports of Joy-Con connection issues ceased without any news of cause or resolution

Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controller
It was alarming to hear of Joy-Con connection issues so close to Switch's launch day and more so with no follow-up.
Nintendo Switch game boxes With the Switch arriving in stores on Friday, the recent stories of the left Joy-Con loosing it's connection to the console were a bit disconcerting. With an imminent launch, the last thing anyone needs is a hardware issue. News of this was reported on several websites as a predominantly North America issue.

It's entirely possible that some of these early reviewers had their Echo Dot radiating connection requests at their Switch console or some over-air oddity. "Hey Alexa, What the Hell is wrong with my Joy-Con?"

A few sites suggested a firmware update may be needed. Regardless, all the speculation disappeared and these incidents have not been mentioned again.

Nintendo Switch accessories Optimistically, I'd like to assume the situation has been resolved, but is no news really good news? One article stated Nintendo was aware of the issue and would keep them apprised.

Some folks have speculated Nintendo purposely used a low Bluetooth level to expand battery life. There are enough occurrences reported to raise concerns. Not hearing anyone from Nintendo address this issue, only days before launch, isn't too reassuring considering the problems were reported from Kotaku, Polygon, and IGN among others.

Hopefully there is a resolution to this issue. I guess we'll know more on launch day. Of course most users will be busy complaining about day-one updates and overloaded servers.
