To ready systems for online warfare, Nintendo launches Splatoon 2 Global Testfire event

Splatoon 2 Global Testfire event
Six 1-hour times lets fans try the game this weekend while Nintendo dials in the specs for Splatoon 2's upcoming release.
I used to be an early adopter. I'd get out and get all the techie gadgets and play away on day-one. It was fun, but over time I got burned a few too many times. These days I tend to sit back and see how things go before buying expensive items. While I feel that's best for me, I know I also miss out on cool stuff like Nintendo's Splatoon 2 Global Testfire event!

Splatoon 2 Global Testfire event I love Splatoon on the Wii U and consider it the type of game that sells consoles. I'm hoping the second iteration will do the same for Switch. It's such a creative game with great strategies and the perfect answer, from Nintendo, to all the Call-Of-Duty-style FPS games that flood the competition's consoles.

The multi-console tournament option, for the Switch, sounds pretty cool. I'm excited to see this game this Summer.

Since I opted not to buy at launch, I hope I can snag a Switch by the time Summer rolls around. There are quite a few games I'm already interested in that currently sit on retail shelves. Another good sign are the many e-shop games I'm reading about that sound great. I hope Nintendo maintains this trajectory!
