Comic books are returning to mass-market at 3K+ Walmart stores

Comic books are moving into big box stores as smaller comic shops succumb to the economic downfall of the coronavirus.
Comic books are returning to mass-market Allegiance Arts & Entertainment is bringing together fan-favorite creators to launch four comic book titles for sale at 3,000+ Walmart stores. Comic books have been relegated to small specialty comic shops for quite some time. I remember reading comics at the grocery store while my mom shopped. I gravitated toward Vampirella!

I see a small selection at Barnes & Nobel, but comic books have all but disappeared in mass market settings. Arkansas' Allegiance Arts & Entertainment is a new company aggregating creators to bring comics to larger retailers. They feel there is a large audience who don't have aaa local comic book shop, but still want comics. Walmart is grossly ubiquitous, so they are a logical choice for reaching a large diverse audience.

I like the concept, but would like to see a larger selection going into mass market. This is a very unique case, so you won't see traditional books found at comic shops appearing in Walmart. Like any test scenario, if it's successful, it may amount to more titles coming to the box-store giant. As much as I dislike big box-stores, this may be a good move for comic books. It will expose them to more people and that's a good thing.
