The portalbe Flashback comes to market with an SD slot, allowing for more games to be added to the 70 built-in Atari 2600 games (listed below). Having purchased many of the Flashback consoles over the years, I was intrigued to see a portable version. For years, I've wondered why their Atari consoles don't have cartridge slots, when their Sega consoles do.
There are at least two versions of this portable gaming device. AtGames lists a FlashBack Portable and another remarked with "Deluxe". I have no idea what the difference is. Since they don't have version numbers on the packaging, it could simply be this year's model... who knows. The one I have comes only with a user manual and USB cable. I wish It shipped with the AV cable since it can also be played on a TV.
I like this model, and will be interested to see if it is renewed with another variation of game titles. Neither the Colecovision or Intellivision models seemed to be updated. It may not since it has the ability to play additional games via it's SD card.
