Arcade1Up: 3/4 scale arcade games with classic retro games and authentic controls
These 3/4 height arcade cabinets will be sold locally at a variety of stores and contain between 2 and 4 games... along with a 12-game model. We love 'em, but we're on the fence.

Does size matter? Depends on who you ask, but as far as an arcade cabinet goes... I think it does. I'm dying to see one of these in a store to evaluate what 3/4 scale really looks like. Is the 17" monitor too small or proportionately right-on?
I love the idea, but I'm still wrestling with a passion for the 12 game model with the joystick, trackball and spinner. Great combo, but it's $400! Lots of cool options, great game selections!
Boosting The Visibility of Retro Gaming
Regardless of size and game selections, Arcade1Up is great for the retro gaming community by putting these games into mainstream stores where they will be seen by all sorts of people. Naturally, retro gamers will gravitate to them, but these games serve as a beacon of the importance of all the titles represented and the many others of this bygone era.
Too many kids think Microsoft invented video games!! These game cabinets show a lot of amazing games that modern gamers may never have played. It brings access, along with authentic controls to some amazing games. Putting a public face on such games by selling them outside traditional gaming channels broadens the reach of retro gaming. I love it.
Armed with the joystick, trackball, and spinner, I have my eye on the 12-in-1 model -exclusive to Best Buy. Can't wait to see an Ardade1Up in a store... and perhaps my home :)
